Yuugi soon becomes an expert at the game and leads a joyful life with his newfound companions. Meanwhile, the card game "Duel Monsters" starts gaining immense popularity, where players fight against each other with the help of magical cards and monsters. After much struggle, Yuugi finally manages to complete the puzzle, and his wish miraculously comes true. When he stays with his grandfather, owner of a game store, he comes across a centuries-old Egyptian artifact, the "Millennium Puzzle." Word has it that the artifact grants any wish to its solver, so Yuugi makes it his goal to solve it in hopes of gaining friends. The song is composed and produced by Michael Brady, with lyrics written by Shane Guenego, Arthur "Sam" Murakami and Brady. However, due to them being shadows in the first episode of Season 2, the intro features them with their faces revealed rather than being them in shadows in the Japanese opening " BRAVING!". Among them, the card backs use the WDC design like in Japan, and many new characters appear, including the Vetrix Family. It also plays during the final scene of episode 146.īy Episode 26, major changes were made to the opening sequence. It debuted on episode 1 and stopped airing on episode 73, being replaced on episode 74 by the song Halfway to Forever. Similar to Hyper Drive, this intro was first showcased on the 4Kids website.
